Job Description

Growing Manaufacturing firm in the Duluth, MN area has a need for a Production Manager. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package.

Position Responsibilities

  • Recommends improved manufacturing methods, layouts, equipment, accountable for workflow planning, maintenance, and production KPI’s.
  • Determines production schedule and adjusts when need to fulfill customers need.
  • Interviewing and training employees. Performing performance reviews, motivating, rewarding, and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving concerns.
  • Must monitor and maintain quality standards.
  • Review and analyze production reports to improve job margins.
  • Monitor and maintain efficiencies standard.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement methods and techniques.
  • Administer company policies. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the job description.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 & EMS14001 standards.
  • Ensure safety of the personnel and compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with OSHA’s General Industry Standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing management experience.
  • Experience in a job shop environment including equipment, scheduling, inventory control methods and quality control systems.
  • Strong management principles and practices, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Able to identify and resolve technical issues as well as interpersonal issues.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form.
  • Persistent, upbeat, positive, high energy, and thrives in a dynamic atmosphere of change.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot product related problems.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organizational skill with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to write department related work aids.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and working knowledge with MRP systems a plus.
