We are a well-known gastro pub in Nottingham and we are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Head Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the kitchen, developing menus, and creating exciting dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of chefs in the kitchen, ensuring all tasks are performed to a high standard
Develop and update menus with seasonal ingredients and trends
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard and presentation
Manage food costs and kitchen budgets
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
Train and develop chefs to maintain high standards of food preparation and service
Work with suppliers to maintain quality and consistency of ingredients
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a gastro pub or restaurant
Knowledge of contemporary culinary techniques and trends
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to manage budgets and food costs
Passionate about using fresh, seasonal ingredients to create exciting dishes
Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
We offer a salary range of 37,000- 40,000 per year for 40 hours per week, depending on experience, plus the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
