Job Summary:

The Business Analyst will play a pivotal role in the success of our projects. Acting as the bridge between our users and developers, they will ensure that project goals are clearly defined, communicated, and refined to align with business objectives. Additionally, they will focus on process improvements to ensure our operations are as efficient and effective as possible. This role will also involve close collaboration with our Human Resource Departments analyst.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business staff to deeply understand the needs that our information systems and technology should address.
  • Work closely with the Human Resource Department analyst to synchronize efforts, share insights, and improve processes.
  • Determine how adjustments to the project will impact both the business and systems.
  • Offer guidance on system evolution.
  • Lead and champion process improvement initiatives, identifying areas of opportunity and proposing solutions.
  • Utilize process mapping and analysis techniques to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and other areas for optimization.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide advice to clients regarding current and future system processes.
  • Define and communicate detailed implementation specifications.
  • Generate and present reports, timelines, and visuals to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Ensure that all system modifications are thoroughly documented and tested.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure client requirements are addressed.
  • Investigate and assess the root causes, effects, and outcomes of system challenges.
  • Address data sampling, project analysis, and testing verification requests from existing databases.
  • Serve as a primary contact with Information Technology and/or external vendors for system support.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, trends, and best practices.


Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field is essential.
  • A background of five to seven years in a related capacity or in process improvement roles.
  • Preferred experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Preferred Certification/Training: Certification in Business Process Management, Lean Six Sigma, or a related field is highly desirable.


Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • High organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for leadership, facilitation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Stellar customer service skills.
  • Quick learning capability with a knack for creative problem-solving.
  • Proficient in negotiation.
  • Strong team player orientation.

Physical Requirements:
  • Comfort with prolonged periods seated at a desk, working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift weights up to 15 pounds occasionally.
