Job Description
Stores / Logistics Person Our client, based in the Colnbrook area, are looking for an experienced Stores / Logistics Person on a permanent basis. Our client is a mechanical and electrical engineering contractor who has several contracts Airside at Heathrow. Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Heathrow Airside Pass (5 year checkable history). Responsible for: Taking deliveries, managing stock levels, assisting in internal audits and ensuring stock is stored and accounted for correctly. The Role: Manual handling, lifting and carrying items safely; Loading and unloading of both Company and suppliers vehicles; Receiving of all customer system spares, consumables, stationary and ensuring goods are receipted correctly and all paperwork is filed; Ensue all spares are labelled correctly as per the stock management system and highlighting any issues so that they can be resolved; Deliver items to store locations; Carry out regular stock checks to ensure accuracy of stock levels at all times; Ensure all COSHH items are stored and labelled correctly; Carryout regular stock audits as required to ensure stock accuracy is maintained; Driving a company vehicle; and Use of all company IT systems and programs to undertake all aspects of this role as required. Required: Possess good verbal communication skills; Able to build rapport and maintain good work relationships; Proactive approach to work, work well in a team or alone; Ability to learn quickly to gain knowledge of the stores operating system; Must be eligible to obtain a valid Heathrow Airside Pass (5 year checkable history); Must hold a full clean UK driving licence; Experienced and licenced on a counter balanced Fort Lift Truck preferable; and Must be willing to attend relevant training as and when required. Offer: Up to 29,000 per annum depending on experience; 42.5 hour week, 9 hour day with 30 minute unpaid lunch break; Start and finish time to be negotiated; Overtime is available but not guaranteed; 25 days holiday, plus 8 days bank holidays Optional private healthcare after a 6 month qualifying period If this role sounds like you, follow the prompts to apply or contact Gary on (phone number removed).
