Job Description

We are currently seeking dedicated Quality Assurance Technicians to join a team developing the latest generation of business aircraft in Little Rock, AK. These technicians will beperforming in-process and final inspections of aircraft systems and components to determine the conformity of the aircraft and airworthiness. As well as performing installation inspections of aircraftpiping, fuel oil, hydraulic, air conditioning, fire and water systemsfor conformity to engineering and other approved data.One month on-site training period will be provided.


Responsibilities
  • Perform complete major inspection of aircraft, components, major assemblies, sub-assemblies, production tools or parts during manufacturing and installation to determine airworthiness, safety or conformance to approved data and Company standards and requirements.
  • Apply technical knowledge in the fields of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, sheet metal, rigging, instruments, test flights, etc. to determine and sign off safety, airworthiness, or conformance.
  • Interpret and check prints, both hard copy and electronic, engineering change orders and governmental regulatory procedures and specifications.
  • Manage the activity of test assistants.
  • Participate in the development of the final product.
  • Ensure system failure research.
  • Provide a description of the defects encountered allowing the launch of corrective actions.
  • Carry out area closures by certifying that the integrity of the area has not been degraded as a result of its intervention.
  • Determine extent of work to be performed where no specifications, regulations or written standards are available.
  • Use precision measuring guides, gauges and laboratory instruments.
  • Is familiar with FAR Part 145, 135, 91, 65 and 21 and related A/Cs
  • Is familiar with FWW processes.
  • Prepare necessary aircraft related FAA, customer or company documents.
  • Complete and maintain reports and records as required.
  • Accurately enter electronic data related to aircraft production, completion and installation operations.
  • Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Airframe certificate.
  • Experience with FAR 145 Repair Station and FAR 43 Maintenance.
  • Able to read and understand structural and avionic drawings, schematics, test procedures, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to prepare detailed reports.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Able to walk up and down steps with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to walk long distances, climb, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Pass vision testing, minimum 20/20 corrected, and with no limitations in color perception.
  • Able to access confined areas.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations , Type Certificate Data Sheet, Airworthiness Directives , Advisory Circulars, etc.
  • Able to work in a high noise environment (jet engines, air tools, etc.)




3+ years experience of OEM integration work. Skilled at creating and reviewing technical schematics, logical and functional diagrams, and engineering specifications. Previous experience with aircraft systems. Working knowledge of 2X.1309 analyses and processes, including Advisory Circular 23.1309-1E, SAE ARP 4761, and SAE ARP 4754A. Working knowledge of DO-160G environmental qualification. Basic knowledge of FAA regulations and guidance material and industry standards. Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering preferred. Desired Working knowledge of avionics and related equipment, technical standard orders, and minimum performance standards. Working knowledge of DO-178C and DO-254 processes and aviation database management. Previous experience managing complex sets of requirements. Previous experience preparing and presenting design reviews for complex, highly integrated systems. Previous experience defining system controls, crew indications, and flight manual procedures Previous experience in testing, including instrumenting, data acquisition, and documenting and analyzing results. Whole-aircraft FAA certification program experience, Part 23 or Part 27 preferred. Experience and involvement with industry groups to develop consensus standards. 5+ years of relevant industry experience. Private pilot certificate or higher. Familiar with Dassault Syst mes engineering and management tools.
