What You Will Do:
The Residential Landscape Construction Contract Manager is responsible for the management and administration of contracts as well as the process by which they are created and agreed to. This role is responsible for developing execution plans to achieve construction project milestones and to minimize costs for a single project or area. This exempt role reports to the Residential Team Manager and works onsite in Centennial, Colorado, with about 85% travel to visit job sites and vendors. Snow removal duties are required in this role and a company vehicle is provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage construction schedule and labor force required for projects.
  • Manage the assignment of manpower to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, meet budget goals, cycle times and quality of construction.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers on any equipment, manpower, specialized crews, material, and other needs for project efficiency.
  • Supervise the project, keeping it on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure Project Managers are aware of expectations to complete jobs timely and in budget.
  • Communicate with team on current scheduling timeframes.
  • Build team and client relationships by communicating all scheduling issues.
  • Work to increase residential construction production and profitability.
  • Manage the job set-up and scheduling process with the “Can I build it?” concept.
  • Work with the Landscape Designers/Design Associates on details of projects.
  • Coordinate with Team Office Manager for creation of job and phases.
  • Maintain document control.
  • Monitor labor cost analysis daily and weekly, and make changes as required to stay within the budget.
  • Ensure job sites are safe following local, federal and CDI company policies.
  • Completion of punch list with Project Management.
  • Conduct job cost analysis with Team Manager after achieving substantial completion.
  • Routinely review and correct project cost vs. budgeted performance.
  • Conduct budget/project cost financial analysis.
  • Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) in a technical area of study or equivalent experience.
  • Valid driver license and clean MVR.
  • Understanding of landscape construction and strong working knowledge of irrigation construction.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
  • Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices. Demonstrates advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Basic knowledge of estimating terms and principles.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex documents.
  • Provides efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adept at making decisions with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve results and deadlines.
  • Excellent people skills and demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills.
