POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to give support to the general operations of the store. Working along with the Store Manager, the incumbent will oversee the floor operations daily, in addition to performing administrative tasks. The Floor Manager will function as a contact in the absence of the Store Manager, to respond to all matters of operational relevance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position will have supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager and will be required to show up to work at least 20-30 minutes before opening hours. This document describes the work that should normally be done. It should be borne in mind that no frame of reference is complete and the use of one’s initiative and discretion must always be a guiding factor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
Overseeing daily store operations.
Ensure customer satisfaction during all interaction stages.
Resolve customer’s matters and communicate any request for further action.
Ensure departments are properly manned to service customers daily.
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Create a staff schedule.
Assist in the opening and closing of the store.
Assist with the purchasing of merchandise.
Assist with merchandising as necessary.
Assist with staff training needs.
Implement staff engagement activities to boost morale.
Process requests for deletes, voids, and re-printing of receipts, discounts, and exchanges at the cash register.
Oversee all cashiers’ activities (operations, float, and check-off)
Proper merchandising of goods in store.
Implement policies, procedures, and protocols as required to aid in operational development.
Ensure general company policy adherence by team members.
Assist cashiers at the opening of business.
Checking off cashiers at the end of their shift.
Assist with the implementation or communication of HR policies/procedures.
Ensure security guidelines are implemented and adhered to by all team members.
Assist in stock-taking and inventory management.
Ensure the floor is uniquely merchandised to create eye-catching displays.
Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, including reconciling stock counts to computer reports.
Execute appropriate discounts to relevant customers and staff.
Any other reasonable duties as directed by a supervisor or manager.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS: In addition to the performance of the essential functions above, this position may be required to perform a combination of other supportive functions, to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of Fontana Limited.

You will be required to work on a shift, which will include weekends and public holidays.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Working Environment / Physical Activities:

EXPERIENCE; EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
Minimum Associate Degree.
At least 4 years of work experience at a management or supervisor level (Retail base a plus)
Customer Service / Sales Training
Certificate in Supervisory Management
Certificate in Computer Skills/Training (Microsoft Office Suite)
