About the client:

You will be a part ofthe product team that scaled a game to 100 million users AND delighted a diverse demography from 10yr old to 60yrs old from a Kirana store owner in the village to a CEO in London!!

Secured a Series A funding of $3 Million from Prime Ventures (Investors in MyGate, Happay, HackerEarth, etc.)

What you'llbe doing:

  • You will act as a bridge between the artists and the engineers . You will be considered a part of the art team and work closely with artists, engineers and product managers.
  • The main areas of responsibilities include art production workflows, tools, pipelines, asset organization/integration and shader development.
  • Technical Artists are expected to assume ownership over any technical issues that arise on their projects and bring them to resolution.
  • The focus is to integrate art assets into a game without taking away either the artistic vision or going beyond the technical limits of the platform.

Who were looking for:

  • Understanding and knowledge in modeling & texturing, scripting/tools development, lighting shaders, rendering & post processing.
  • A passion for games & effective at communicating with different audiences: artists, engineers & managers.
  • Expert knowledge of 2D and 3D art packages: Maya/Photoshop needed.
  • Advanced knowledge of Unity Game Engine.
  • Experience with Asset optimization challenges/techniques.
  • Knowledge in creating normal and specular maps, particle systems and shaders.
  • Setting up and maintaining the workflow of the art production, deciding which art packages/tools a studio should use, investigating new techniques, and then going ahead with implementing them.
  • Familiarity working and developing in a multi-platform, multi-project environment
  • Should have a good understanding of the fundamentals of art including visual design, shape language, color theory, and lighting
  • Should have good artistic skills and ability to work with technical documentation.
