Job Description

Position Summary: Performs maintenance on all Plant machinery in an expedient and effective manner.

Key Duties, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to assemble, repair various types of processing equipment. Moba experience preferred.

Ability to read prints, sketches, schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder diagrams, drawings.

Experience in the use of all industrial hand and power tools.

Ability to climb, work in close quarters, lift heavy objects (25-50lbs), and work outside in extreme temperatures.

Computer literate experienced in Windows applications.

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and customer oriented.

Ability to perform equipment checks and repairs.

Documenting work through PMs and Work Orders.

Comply with USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA, and all other regulatory agencies.

Work overtime as required; and work off-shifts to cover departmental vacations by other techs.

Perform other duties as required or assigned by Maintenance Leaders.

Assist Complex Manager to prepare, coordinate, execute work orders, and follow up to job completion.

Handson and problem history tracking and work on providing data and verification of failure. Maintain all types ofmotors; conduct electrical testing and insulation resistance test. Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and utility

equipment, power generation, steam boilers, air compressors, manufacturing conveyors and material handlingequipment.

Must understand electrical safety and be familiar with lock out and tag out procedure. Diagnostic, monitoring, andtrouble shooting skills are required. Familiar with power consumption and energy savings and monitoring.

Must be willing and able to attend selected training classes, as required, to supplement knowledge and ability toperform work.

Familiar with food safety, food process equipment and regulations. Familiar with emergency preparedness andemergency response plans and procedures.

Ability to lead and teach others.

Experience in working within a building maintenance environment, including, electrical, plumbing, light carpentry,tiling and painting skills.

Ability to respond to emergencies and work under pressure. Sense of urgency to machinery down time due to themanufacturing nature.

Analytical skills and a self-motivated individual with strong initiative.

Ability to work weekends, flexible hours and changing priorities. Must be flexible enough to work different hours,and shifts.

Basic PLC knowledge

Education, Experience

High school or equivalent.

Five (5)+ years working experience in maintenance and/or degree/certificate of a reputable technical institute.
