Shift Supervisor

I m the direct recruiter for a Shift Supervisor at our Brand New Queens facility with a growing organization making advancements in the family shelter system of New York

This is a lead position within this VERY LARGE and COMPLETELY NEWLY RENOVATED 300+ unit, mixed-stay/mixed caseload full-social services housing facility!

HIGHLIGHTS

• Provides direction, guidance, training for staff, in coordination with the Program Director
  

• Work schedules and assignments for the staff
  

• Hourly house runs to ensure staff members are in their assigned locations
  

• Monitor recreational rooms, laundry, cafeteria to ensure residents are adhering to schedules
  

• Arrange for coverage for absences/unexpected situations
  

• Record/respond to incidents, client issues and complaints; perform crisis intervention procedures
  

• Ensure daily census is monitored/accurate, CARES is updated daily with current information, & the nightly rosters are submitted
  

• Assist with client intakes & submit them for approval
  

• Keep records of safety, fire, building inspections
  

• Monitor all fire/safety equipment to ensure it is functional
  

• May participate in the interview process/make recommendations for hiring, promotions, corrective actions, terminations
  

• Assist Program Director in the planning/implementation of new
  

• Act as a liaison to other agencies & attend related meetings
  
  

Requirements

REQUIRESBachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years experience with homeless families and knowledge of issues of homelessness and/or residential Strong interpersonal, managerial and administrative Computer Bilingual (English/Spanish).
