We're seeking a software developer, who has a deep understanding of backend software development. You will be responsible for architecting and building Widgetbook in close cooperation with our CTO. We believe in community - whether that's with open source contribution or how our team works. About Widgetbook
We re building the collaboration platform for frontend development. We bring designers, developers and product owners on one platform to optimize collaboration and review processes.
What is currently mapped in dozens of Slack messages, screenshots, emails and synchronous meetings takes only a mouse click with Widgetbook. We are already loved by front-end teams around the world and proud to allow them to focus on what matters - building great software with superior design. Check out our docs to learn more about it.

Open Source & Community
We are deeply embedded in the Flutter community, organize meetups, act as speakers at international Flutter events and appear in popular scene blogs. Widgetbook is based on an open source package which we maintain and make available to every developer. You'll fit perfectly into our team if you feel like actively shaping the developer community in line with your own preferences.

Tasks

Your mission at Widgetbook

We re a small team yet. Your role is therefore characterized characterised by variety and responsibility. You will build backend infrastructure in close cooperation with the CTO. You ll be engaged in the planning and have precise understanding of what is needed to ensure that Widgetbook works as a high performant and reliable software.

Your Tasks

• Setup a scalable microservice cloud architecture using Google Cloud
• Maintain and expand the REST API of our existing backends
• Improve service uptime
• Setup a scalable content delivery network
• Setup a fail-proof backup solution

We ll give you as a young startup the chance to show responsibility which goes beyond your job as a developer. We learn every day and so will you. You can use these learnings to optimize our internal processes to make (remote) work more pleasant or to shape product development beyond your own features.
