Job Description
MODERN CITY HOMES LTD. Located at 7754 147 street, Surrey, BC, V3S 5M4 is currently looking for 6 CARPENTERS to join their team as soon as possible.
Full-time, Permanent position @$29/ hour for 40 hours per week with 4% vacation pay as BCs Employment Standards. Various work locations as per companys contracts. English is a required language. 2 to 3 years of experience and completion of high school is required.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, large workload, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods.
Work site environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold.
Job Duties:
Read and interpret blueprints and building plans to calculate requirements.
Install structures such as doors, windows, stairs and moldings.
Measure, cut and shape wood, wood substitutes and other material.
Construct building framework including walls, floors and doorframe.
Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures.
May prepare cost estimates for clients.
Instruct and direct laborers and other construction helpers.
