Job Description

Our client is hiring for a Maintenance Manager to contribute to their Operations team in Fort Wayne, IN.


The Maintenance Manager manages the daily operations of the Fort Wayne Operations Center Maintenance functions. The Maintenance Manager oversees the scheduling of associate hours, daily work assignments, assigning of projects and monitors performance for Maintenance Team. Manages and provides preventative maintenance and repairs for all equipment and fixed assets in the facility based on Manufacturer Specifications. Contracts vendors to perform quotes and contractual repairs. Communicates with the Management staff on issues impacting production. Provides advanced troubleshooting and repair for all equipment. Develops training plans to help and assist in the advancement of associate knowledge in all functions of the Maintenance Department.

Required Qualifications:



  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years hands on experience with electronic controls

  • 3+ years experience with mechanical repairs to conveyors and mobile equipment

  • 3+ years experience with OSHA compliance

  • 1+ year(s) experience developing budgets

  • 6+ months work experience which includes walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, gripping/grasping, bending, squatting/kneeling, twisting/turning, climbing, crawling, reaching above shoulders, typing/keyboard


Key Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for equipment and building maintenance

  • Contracts vendors to perform contractual repairs for rolling stock

  • Provides advanced troubleshooting and repairs for advanced electronic controls

  • Provides warehouse safety management

  • Manages cost control

  • Produces reports

  • Recommends and evaluates future equipment

  • Manages yearly budget

  • Develops training plans for associates

  • Supervises the maintenance staff
