Job Description


TITLE: Vice President of Marketing

ENVIRONMENT: Aftermarket Truck Accessories,

LOCATION: Elkhart, IN

REPORTS TO: President

COMPENSATION RANGE: Very attractive compensation package including bonuses

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors in Marketing, Business or related discipline. MBA would be a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY: As the Vice President of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing initiatives that shape OUR go-to-market strategy. You'll also drive growth by managing activities across all brands to deliver new sales opportunities. This person must recognize trends and potential problems before they arise to take the necessary steps towards success!


The ideal candidate will be a high-impact and organized individual who can lead an effective team of marketers. This role must oversee developing and delivering the company's fully integrated marketing strategy to ensure all departments involved succeed. Programs that include Inbound Marketing campaigns that generate leads externally or digital/social media strategies when necessary; advertising with creative ideas like PR efforts alongside analytical analysis on how best to reach consumers where they spend the most time online, social networks!


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Responsible for all marketing activities within the company (planning, directing, and coordinating all marketing efforts), including guiding the day-to-day activities of the marketing team

  • Build and manage the companys Brand strategy, including awareness and positioning. Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to in all marketing activities across the company.

  • Develop budget and maintain a set of key performance indicators (KPIs) that will track the effectiveness of each business units digital strategy against the defined goals

  • Develop and execute strategies, concepts, and approaches for new customer initiatives across all digital platforms/touchpoints (Ecommerce website, Content, Video, Inbound, Demand Gen, Web, Social, Influencer Strategy, and Digital PR, etc.).

  • Manage the portfolio of key agency relationships necessary for the success of the companys marketing strategy. Work closely with vendor/consulting project managers as needed on the coordination of all tasks and activities

  • Oversee analysis across all platforms and channels to measure overall performance drivers. Evaluate data to provide insights that inform and support multichannel digital strategies. Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost web presence. Monitor SEO/SEM, marketing, and sales performance metrics to forecast trends

  • Implement a full cross-channel CRM platform to drive efficiency and retention

  • Drive the early sales cycle, collaborating with Sales to identify and advance new business opportunities. Enable them to meet their commercial objectives by providing appropriate tools and materials.

  • Manage external communications / public relations

  • Lead a diverse marketing team, including coaching, training, and performance reviews

  • Create and manage marketing budgets, allocate resources based upon optimal return on investment

  • Organize participation in conferences and trade shows in support of the marketing strategy

  • Work closely with other department heads, salespeople, and senior leadership on company projects. Complete miscellaneous marketing projects at the request of senior leadership.

  • Manage marketing and sales analytics and reporting, including the use of (link removed)

  • Manage external service providers / vendors / partners, including holding them accountable to co-developed goals and metrics

CHARACTERISTICS and SKILLS:



  • Working knowledge of brand building, architecture, and management. Experience increasing brand awareness and preference across multiple platforms

  • Digital brand planning experience, with a broad grasp of digital strategies across Content, Video, Inbound, Demand Gen, Web, Social, Influencer Strategy and Digital PR.

  • In-depth knowledge of current digital marketing channels, tools, and best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and CRM software

  • Familiarity with web design and knowledge of web design procedures

  • Experience developing and leading a CRM strategy with proven results.

  • Ability to take a data-centric approach to marketing strategy. Experience driving business results by utilizing business intelligence, segmentation and targeting. Demonstrated track record of planning, executing, tracking and post-mortem analysis of digital sales and marketing initiatives

  • Highly organized, strategic, and creative personality with strong business acumen

  • Eye for creative marketing opportunities, ability to find innovative ways to connect with target audiences

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Strong understanding of effective PR communications

  • Ability to lead and inspire direct & indirect reports, strategic partners, and vendors

  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Competence to work independently and with minimum direction

  • Robust attention to the details without losing sight of the big picture

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills required as well as proficiency with the MS Office suite

  • Dynamic, polished, high energy, focused, and driven. Very sharp, innovative, and accustomed to figuring it out

  • Ability to motivate teams to produce in tight timeframes while managing several projects simultaneously

  • Ability to effectively communicate and facilitate through encouragement, motivation, and inspiration at all levels of the organization


EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related degree required. (MBA preferred)

  • 10 years experience in a digital/ecommerce senior leadership role with a record of accomplishment of building and leading successful marketing campaigns, preferable in the automotive aftermarket or consumer products industry.

  • Working knowledge of brand building, architecture, and management. Experience increasing brand awareness and preference across multiple platforms

  • Hands-on management experience and a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

  • Experience in fiberglass, automotive, truck, paint, or molding industry is strongly preferred.

  • High level of financial acumen

  • Domestic travel 10% - International 5%
