Job Description:

Provide a quality finish on Cadet Fabricated products by preforming all preparation and painting tasks necessary to prime, coat and finish truck bodies after assembly. Mix paints and other solutions and monitors drying to ensure desired results. Completes finishing with baking, polishing, or other materials. Follow all Required safety procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Operate Forklift, lifting devices, and jigs for movement and holding of parts and assemblies. Operate other equipment used to prepare parts for painting to include but not limited to compressors, grinders, and sanders. Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted to ensure proper adhesion and finished surface. Masks parts and assemblies as required prior to applying finish. Remove masking materials after completion of drying cycle. Mix appropriate quantity of paint for the order insuring that the paint is properly mixed. Sprays products as required, ensuring that paint is applied in a manner consistent with customer requirements and company quality standards. Inspects completed components or subassemblies to determine accuracy of product within quality standards, maintains and troubleshoots painting equipment. Comply with OSHA, EPA/DEQ laws.

MUSTS: have knowledge and skills in the maintenance and use of various painting equipment (HVLP, conventional paint sprayers, pot-guns etc. Math skills using fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical application.

Physical Demands: required to stand for 8 hours, bend, stoop, kneel, squat.
