Industrial Electrician

Duties

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing electrical preventive maintenance requirements on engines motors conveyor systems and production machines; following diagrams sketches operations manuals manufacturers instructions and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment including motors generators transformers and electrical control systems.
  
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and repair or replace defective components as needed
  
• Install new electrical systems and equipment according to specifications and safety standards.
  
• Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to address mechanical and electrical issues that may arise.
  
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
  
• Assist with developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing technical publications and establishing personal networks
  
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.
  
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
  
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical maintenance preferred
  
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a manufacturing environment preferably in the metal industry
  
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems equipment and wiring diagrams
  
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues and performing repairs
  
• Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  
• Ability to follow documented process instructions working independently as well as part of a team
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Good time management skills
  
• Drivers License
  
• Ready to Work
  
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions
  
• Safety focus (Personal protective equipment PPE required in manufacturing facilities)
  
• Prior experience operating forktruck lifts is a plus
  
• A strong desire to learn on the job is a plus
  
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed
