Job Description

This is a remote position.

We are Games Factory Talents - we help Talents from all over the world to land a dream job at a Games studio in Europe or remotely.
Our client - Slipgate Ironworks is looking for a Technical Animator.

Being in this position you can work remotely or onsite in Aalborg, Denmark.

Responsibilities:
  • In-game implementation and optimization of gameplay animation features and assets in cooperation with Gameplay Animators and Designers.
  • Developing and improving in-game animation systems and tools in cooperation with Animation Programmers.
  • Prototyping the visual part of new gameplay mechanics in cooperation with Gameplay Animators and Designers.
  • Animation assets updates using Maya, MotionBuilder or Python batch tools.
  • Establishing and maintaining the animation pipeline, folders, naming conventions, and engine-related structures.


Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with keyframe animation and motion capture data, animation principles and body mechanics.
  • Knowledge of Animation and implementation in Unreal Engine.
  • Experience with establishing a pipeline for Animation and being the link between teams.
  • Understanding of modern animation graphs techniques: State machines, Blend Trees, Blendspaces and Procedural Animation constructions.
  • Knowledge of next-gen game animation systems architecture.
  • Basic knowledge of Coding and/or Scripting (C++, C#, Python), to be able to read and update game code and scripts.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills.

About our client:
Slipgate Ironworks is a game development studio located in Aalborg, Denmark. They are fans of old school action and strategy games with multiple titles in development, and they are soon beginning development on a new AAA title based on a cult classic. If not yet, then checkout some of their games such as Rise of the Triad, Rad Rodgers, and most recently Ion Fury, GRAVEN and WRATH: Aeon of Ruin.
