Job Description

This is a remote position.

Seeking one full-time resource to work on supporting web based applications for Administrative Review Application (ARA) . At a high level, the resource will use .NET skills to support the Administrative Review Application (ARA) and use Java skills to help write a replacement for ARA.
  1. Existing application is built on ASP.NET 4 WebForms using VisualBasic. The target framework is .NET framework 4.6.2. The Developer/Programmer should understand this legacy .NET infrastructure architecture in order to analyze and help resolve application issues that may arise, and should have an excellent understanding of SQL Server 2016 stored procedures as the application uses stored procedures for most of its business logic.
  2. Replacement application isa Java-based system called Cyber-Linked Interactive Child Nutrition System (CLiCS). CLiCS was developed in-house to support other USDA nutrition program management and oversight needs. The CLiCS technology stack consists of the following:
  • HTML
  • JavaScript
  • JSP
  • Spring MVC
  • Java 8
  • Hibernate
  • Oracle
  • Tomcat
  • Windows


Requirements

  • Seven (7) years experience in ASP.NET Developer/Programmer role
  • Five (5) years experience in Java Developer/Programmer role
  • Five (5) years experience in SQL Server Stored Procedures Developer/Programmer role

Desired Skills

Listed in order of priority:

  • Five (5) years experience using Webforms in Developer/Programmer role
  • One (1) year of experience using Aspose library in .NET environment
  • Experience developing or maintaining school nutrition-related web applications
  • Experience using JavaScript in Developer/Programmer role
  • Experience in Web Services Developer/Programmer role
  • Experience using Ajax in Developer/Programmer role
  • Excellent knowledge with relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies
  • Detail-oriented and excellent concentration ability
  • Experience writing technical documentation such as functional specifications
  • An analytical mindset and critical thinking
  • Demonstrable ability to discover and fix errors in code
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings
