Position : Business Development - Manager

Job Location : Chennai

Job Requirement:

  • BE (Chemical) with MBA (Marketing) Business Development / Sales / Management / Key Account Management / or relevant experience

Job Role:

1. Business & Market Expansion:

  • Identify and develop new revenue segments by working closely with the Paints Sales team to meet the Business Development targets
  • Develop new channel sales partners & market channels to developing new business opportunitiesfor Industrial Paints
  • Travel extensively to meet & establish relationship with the customers and get products approved by the customers
  • Perform in- depth market research and competition analysis; prepare and present reports on market trends to improve market strategy
  • Conduct Marketing activities & promotional events by increasing brand awareness and visibility enhancement of products
  • Primary Point of Contact for the key accounts, and managing relations at all management levels and stakeholders
  • To ensure product approval in all tenders & enquiries from the business segment
  • Conduct weekly, monthly & quarterly reviews to support sales team in achieving their targets
  • Sharing project & technical learnings within the team

2. Supporting the Innovation and R&D team:

  • To evaluate market opportunity, conduct market surveys, estimate and validate market potential and feed the R&D team
  • To develop relationships with national laboratories and institutes of repute to have product testing
  • To propose & coordinate new product developments for customer solutions with the R&D team

3. Key Skill:

  • Previous experience in Business Development/ Sales/ Key Account Management
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Excellent reporting & presentation skills
  • Strong Negotiation Skills
  • In – depth understanding of key clients and business products
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking
  • Team Player & Leadership skills
  • Regional/Local Language knowledge mandatory (For Chennai)
