Job Description

The Opportunity
The VP of Sales will drive the business’s growth strategy in the UK and will have overall responsibility for delivering the targets associated with the UK market. They will be an experienced and highly connected professional with a proven track record in the fashion, retail, apparel, and eCommerce sectors. A well-respected leader motivated and driven with deep experience in winning consultative sales with enterprise clients.
Applicants should be of an entrepreneurial mind set, be target driven and results oriented with a work ethic that will affect change, yielding substantial results and company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Growth and Strategy
  • Partner with the CEO, COO and CSO in developing a sales and marketing strategy for the UK.
  • Lead all aspects of commercial strategy to achieve revenue targets for the UK.
  • Develop and execute strategy and tactics to identify and build successful partner and commercial opportunities for the company.
Marketing
  • Work with the marketing team to increase the exposure of the brand in the UK marketplace
  • Cultivate relationships, raise profile and develop brand awareness amongst the UK with large UK brands in the apparel, fashion, cosmetics, luxury sectors and large ecommerce retail sectors.
  • Represent the company at industry or other networking/promotional events.
Sales
  • Develop and implement a clear sales strategy across key market segments to ensure that you identify a clear path to deliver the sales targets as follows:
  • Sell the product and its value in several different arenas – within the market, with prospective customers and partners.
  • Build a pipeline of strategic business opportunities through client/partner programs as well as putting in place a system of prospecting and sales funnel management through our chosen CRM solution, Salesforce.
  • Lead Sales teams around Salesforce Pipeline Building and Management
Leadership, Team and Culture
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership.
  • Inspire, motivate and build strong high performing team, over time, as the UK business grows instilling a strong company culture.
  • Work well with other key Executives, especially the CEO, COO and CSO.
  • Create a structure with clear KPIs and manage the function towards the achievement of commercial goals.
  • Always looking at process improvements, process management and how to improve ways of working
Key Experience & Skills
  • Educated to a degree level (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years’ experience in a Sales leadership role
  • Track record of sales delivery to large enterprise clients in complex software/ecommerce transactions
  • Must be willing to work independently, be a self-starter, driven and focused
  • Strong networking and influencing skills
  • Proven commercial, sales or business development background which has been widened in recent years to include eCommerce, Retail, Fashion. Must have a strong track record of meeting/exceeding significant sales targets
  • Successful leader with excellent people skills and a strong record of managing and motivating high-performance teams
  • Track record of delivering significant revenue growth in a high growth market
  • The role requires a highly personable and motivated individual, with the ability to build strong commercial and client relationships
  • Experience of working in a high growth scale up would be beneficial
  • Experienced in coaching teams in strategies to drive closure
