Therapeutic Instructor

Spectra Centers, Inc. has been serving kids thriving with Autism and other developmental disabilities since 2003.

We offer an evidence-based Interdisciplinary Intervention Model, grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), to provide therapeutic care and educational services to students with significant needs.

We are looking for Therapeutic Instructors to provide direct educational and behavioral support working individually with students ages K-21 in small group settings.

Each student's care is highly individualized and developed by our clinical team consisting of Special Education Teachers, BCBAs OT, Speech and Mental Health clinicians.

Qualifications

• Over the age of 21, per Spectra licensing requirements
• Must complete Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification process within 90-days of hire. This includes training module completion, Initial Competency Assessment and registering and sitting for exams.
• Must pass State and Federal background checks as required by the State of Colorado in order to be in contact with children
• Must become Safety Care certified
• Must become CPR/First Aid certified
• Must complete Colorado State Mandatory Reporter online training
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Experience and Education

• 60 credit hours toward degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of 1-year experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges
• RBT Certification
• CPR Certification a plus

PAID TRAINING- Spectra provides all the training and supervision necessary to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential at no cost to the employee.

We also provide QBS Safety-Care training that provides the skills and competencies necessary to effectively prevent, de-escalate and manage behavioral challenges.

SALARY - Starting pay of $18.00 - $21.50 per hour based upon education level and years of experience.

HOURS - 8:15am to 3:15pm, and 8:00am-6:00pm twice a week, with opportunities to add additional hours in our evening ABA program.
