The Hanania Automotive Group is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Controllerwith strong background to join our team and oversee multiple rooftops. Automotive industry experience IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION! This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced controller who wants to push their career to the next level.
To be successful in this position, you must be well-versed in all facets of dealership accounting and the ability to perform in a fast-paced work environment. You must also have great focus on communication and organizational skills, as well as be able to handle working with multiple vendors.

Responsibilities:
Hires, trains, and supervises office personnel.
Analyzes and organizes office operations and procedures.
Controls all posted documents, including time records, vehicle deals, commissions, and additions and changes to inventory.
Assist the managers with claims on inventory. Review and ensure all Auto Damage Disclosure laws are adhered to and inventory has notations in power and on the deal jackets
Prepares daily bank deposit and cash report.
Ensures accurate and timely filing of the form 8300.
Controls petty cash amounts for dealership and sales department.
Reconciles select accounts monthly.
Approves adjustments to inventory and receivable accounts.
Oversee and assist with the accounts receivable including statement review , turning over accounts for collection on a monthly basis.
Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate.
Assists in completion of annual review/audit.
Prints monthly journals, schedules, and general ledger. Assist with closing the month by processing accounting month end.
Ensures compliance with all government regulations.
Prepares tax reports, tax deposits and tax returns in a timely, accurate manner.
Stays abreast of current factory incentives and codes deliveries on dealership computer system accordingly.
Administers charge-back program for late charges to inventory.
Oversees the payoff of vehicle floor plan and works with bank representatives.
Approves new charge accounts and oversees collection of past due accounts.
Controls keys to buildings and maintains log of keys issued to employees.
Cross-trains a qualified substitute.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Attends managers meetings as requested.
Cross trains with every office personnel to ensure ability to cover the position and train when necessary.
Motivate the staff to be a positive support system for all departments.
Cross trains with HR to ensure you could be a backup for payroll.
Assist with payables when necessary
Maintains a high level of System Utilization of the Power HR system through continuous training.
