$50 to $70 per hour based on skills, experience, etc.

The job is an intersection of Linux scripting experience (not an admin per se), basic Java programming, and some SQL database experience and debugging capacity. Java is used for configuration, not building the product and the selected candidate will need basic Linux skills.

Day-to-day job description:

We have a suite of products that we have to configure for a project. We are not changing the product. We are configuring the product to work how we need it. There are 2 main areas: frontend config (UI configuration done with XML and JSON files and some Java and JScript for validations) and backend integration (workflow and interfaces). The workflows are configured with XML and some logic in Java to control the workflows. Both require the use of Linux as all the files are on the server. While developing, looking through log files for errors and validating that the workflows/interfaces are performing correctly. Linux command-line programs are necessary to look for data.
