Job Description:
Curriculum developers are part of teams that help drive the curriculum expansion of the Data Sciences program. They work closely with the faculty to bring their course vision to life through the development of Jupyter notebooks. Courses range from short modules, to connector courses, to upper division domain courses in data science.
Responsibilities:
- Notebook development for assignments such as homework and
- Complicated modules may involve setting up (local) web servers
- Help if team is not familiar with necessary bash commands or wrappers around tools in other languages
- Create and maintain documentation, practices, training, and tools for coding best practices and style
- Regularly check Piazza and respond to posts.
- Enforce coding best practices in the class material
- Act as first line of support for curriculum instructors.
Requirements:
- Working with Git and managing GitHub repos
- Python (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Pandas, etc. some if not all)
- Experience doing (and ideally teaching) data science analysis
- R experience is also a plus!
