Bird & Pet Clinic of Roseville is a busy, 4.5 doctor, small animal and exotic veterinary clinic just outside of Sacramento, California looking to add a new veterinarian to our practice! Our extremely spacious and modern hospital includes five exam rooms, double surgical suite, 4-sink treatment area, digital & dental radiology, comprehensive diagnostic in-house lab, rigid endoscopy, ultrasound, multiple wards for different species, & electronic medical records that are cloud-based so you can access from home if desired! Multiple options for secondary and tertiary referral close by. Our exotic caseload is approximately 50% of our patients and includes small mammals, parrots, reptiles, raptors, wildlife and more. We have a strong existing falconry client base with limitless opportunities to work extensively in this area, if that is an interest.
We are flexible with work schedules and can tailor to your needs or preferences. No weekends, No after-hours emergency, & no on call! Work-life balance is extremely important to us. We have a friendly and welcoming staff and we always have a lot of fun at work.
Sacramento is a wonderful city with a wide variety of both cultural and outdoor activities. We have a high standard of living but comparatively lower cost of living than many other parts of California. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience but we will consider more recent graduates with the right attitude and interests. Exotics experience is preferred but not imperative. We have an ABVP-Avian board-certified veterinarian on staff and can offer mentorship if this is a direction of interest for you. Must be a licensed DVM (or have the ability to become licensed) in the state of California.
