Located a small five star luxury hotel about an 1.5 hours from DC in Virginia
The Purchasing Director manages all activities of the purchasing and inventory control department to include:
Direct of ordering, receiving, storing, and distribution of all goods at the optimal price, delivery cycle and minimum available inventory level for the property and its departments/businesses.
Direct receipt, logging, and sourcing credit from all vendors, have tracking and systems to record all inventory and costing, as needed, on a monthly and annual basis.
Direct inventory/invoice coding and assist with accounts payable for all vendors working with the Inn at Little Washington.
Direct the receiving warehouse and orchestrate the scheduling of the receiving team for deliveries, outlet requisitions, and general organization and cleaning/sanitation associated with both restaurant and Caf
Bakery BOH operations and all storage areas on property.
Assist with coordination of IALW BOH stewarding duties, scheduling and deep cleaning/maintenance of kitchen equipment for the to ensure all areas are maintained to the standards of the establishment.
3-5 years experience with hospitality purchasing and sanitation needs
1-3 years of management experience
General knowledge of basic accounting practices
Ability to identify and return product that is of inferior or poor quality including food items
Strong understanding of proper storage and rotation of food goods and food safety protocol; Servsafe
Manager certified or comparable food safety certification
Ability to identify inefficiencies and offer options/ideas for improvement
Ability to lead and hands-on training with sanitation and organizing (steward/porter staff)
Availability and understanding that the position often requires hours in excess of a standard workweek (40-50hours)
Associate s Degree or higher, preferably in business or hospitality
Fluency in Spanish
OSHA Certification
Salary 75 - 85k per year based on experience
