Job Duties:
- Provides leadership to the plant in the methods of continuous improvement
- Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to achieve the plants CI Road Map
- Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to achieve the plants Lean Annual Plan
- Creates a work environment that drives continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Maintains reporting and accuracy of Kaizen measurable and CI metrics, including on time administration of our Production System
- Supports and mentors Green Belts and Black Belts
- Facilitates Kaizen events as needed and when needed
- Collects and analyzes data on plant processes, procedures, and performance using lean manufacturing evaluation tools and makes recommendations on improvement opportunities
- Tracks, monitors and reports regularly on project status, monitors improvement milestones to ensure on-time completion and sustainability of results
- Trains plant personnel on lean manufacturing tools
- Supports sister plants in continuous improvement activity/fresh eyes events
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university and/or equivalent experience
- Must have plant operations experience (preferably Tier 1 automotive experience)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented, union environment
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills, including presentation planning and delivery skills
- Must have experience with using Kaizen methodology to introduce productivity and quality improvements.
- Must have experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing methodology as well for continuous improvement improvements.
- Strong organizational skills with project planning or program management expertise
- Working knowledge of the TS16949/ISO14001 standard
- Minimal overnight travel will be required
