Western Forge & Flange has been forging, heat treating, machining, and testing pipe flanges in the USA for more than 75 years. Located in Cleveland Texas, our Forge Shop and CNC Shop offers excellent career opportunities in Forging Operations, Manual Machining, and CNC Machining. We are currently looking for Tool & Die Machinist to join our day shift team in Cleveland, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Reads work order and drawings for product specifications, such as dimension and tolerances
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, boring machines, drill press, and grinders, to machine forgings to specifications, following blueprints, and/or sketches applying knowledge of machining methods
- For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
1. Set up and operate machine shop equipment
2. Observe operation of machine and follow Safety rules
3. Verify dimensions using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, etc.

- Minimum three (3) years machine shop experience desired
- Machinist will be adequately trained to perform related duties
- Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
- Must have knowledge of metal characteristics and machining methods
- High School Diploma

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, or High School Diploma and have minimum five (5) years of QHSE work experience in general industry. Knowledgeable in ISO Quality Management system and OSHA regulations and statutory requirements. Experience of developing, implementing, QHSE policies, procedures, and active participation on its audits Experience in NCR, RCA, CAPA, FMEA and auditing. Desired Qualifications: ISO 9001 Auditors training OSHA #501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards/or General Industry I or other valid competency certificates
