QA Automation Engineer

Job Brief:

To ensure success as a QA automation engineer, you should have advanced programming skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent architectural skills. A skilled QA automation engineer can design and write efficient test procedures for every software application 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

·         Meeting with the product engineering team to discuss verification protocols.  

·         Identifying software application weaknesses and target areas.  

·         Sketching out ideas for automated software test procedures.  

·         Reviewing software bug reports and highlighting problem areas. 

·         Writing automation scripts and implementing software applications.  

·         Designing and installing software databases.  

·         Troubleshooting automation software and finalizing system procedures.  

·         Identifying quality issues and creating test reports.  

·         Collaborating with the design team to solve application faults.


Skills Required:

1.Must have an understanding and ability to develop code in Java. 
2.Strong experience in API testing from SOAP, RESTful is required. 
3.Strong experience with XML, Databases and SQL. 
4.Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and/or mobile devices. 
5.Experience with Test processes, open source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests in Java with frameworks like JUnit/TestNG, Selenium, JMeter and Appium is must. 
6.Must be detail oriented, analytical and creative thinker with passion for quality and test automation.
7.Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration systems. 
8.Experience with tools & applications such as JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Git and Artifactory/Maven. 
Must have previous experience with requirements, defect, functional, and performance management systems.
