Devops/Bizops Engineer

Location Dublin

Remote- to begin with (Need to work in office once resumes)

Level 7 - Senior BizOps Engineer - Requirements (Our mission is to protect, provide for, and progress the software

and systems behind all of Mastercard services with an ever-watchful eye on their availability, latency, performance,

integration, and capacity to ensure the ultimate customer experience).

Must possess strong documentation & communication skills

Demonstrate working knowledge of automation principles

Must be able to understand the Mastercard defined standard operating procedures and playbooks

Must be able to understand Two factor authentication (2FA) fundamentals

Good understanding of Change Management Duties - Create, Manage Review, Approve, &

Implement changes as appropriate to duties of your team.

Understanding of Active Directory (Users/Groups)

Must to have :

o Chef, Jenkins, Groovy, Shell Scripting, Powershell Scripting, Version Control Systems such as GIT/SVN

o ITIL/ITSM Fundamentals

o Client/Server Relationships

o Operating System Navigation

o Network Fundamentals

o Logging and Monitoring basics

o Relational Database interaction with Simple Query Language (SQL)

Technical skills - Good understanding of all/some of the concepts mentioned for lower levels

Good to have skills

o ITIL/ITSM Principles and Practice

o Stack Trace Analysis (TCP Dumps, Heap Dumps, CPU/memory analysis, Thread dumps)

o Load balancers and application firewalls (WAFs)

o Logging and Monitoring methods, standards and tools

o DevOps Concepts & Tooling

o Resiliency, High Availability & Business Continuity Planning/Management

o Cloud Concepts, Architecture and Platform as a Service (PaaS) Concepts
