Role and Responsibilities
Providing professional and courteous service according to the Company standards and procedures
Professional handling of guest complaints/special requests and informing Supervisor accordingly
Hourly Safety rounds between 10.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m. including checking doors and windows (closed and/or locked), kitchen appliances and whirlpool (switched off; whirlpool not to be used after midnight) and temperature control of refrigerators and detecting of possible malfunctions of machinery and equipment (e.g., air conditioner) and reporting such to Engineer immediately if necessary
Operating activated alarm system
Verifying all on board (guests and crew) at night departures
Ensuring no unauthorized persons are coming on board
Notifying Supervisor about breakage and damage of all equipment and machinery
Printing material according to the Company layout standards
Proper use of the onboard system
Posting guest checks, checking and printing accounts, and carrying out daily audits
Cash count at every shift change
Uploading guest slide show on ITV
Collecting the breakfast cards from guest rooms and deliver to Galley and Butlers
Refilling and polishing apples at the Front Desk
Emptying bins at Front Desk, Back Office, and Copy room daily
Removing daily programs from the previous day
Ensuring proper maintenance of printers and copy machine
Providing wake-up calls for guests
Printing and placing newspapers, sudokus, and crosswords
Recharging batteries of all hand sanitizers as required
Refilling the Boutique display if needed
Filing guest medical forms
Cleaning and sanitizing key cards of the previous cruise and preparing stateroom key cards for the upcoming cruise
Preparing and setting up Early Bird breakfast on embarkation days
Arranging signed system accounts bills by the date
Maintaining cleanliness front and back of the house according to HACCP regulations.
Ensuring correct handling of all equipment and machinery
Participating in all Safety Drills as per Captain's orders and ensuring solid knowledge of designated Safety role
Reporting any potential Safety hazards immediately
Placing updated Safety role and in-port-manning lists in designated areas
Turning on coffee machine and buffet as per instruction
Updating e-log if required
Ensuring an up-to-date knowledge of the AGE control panel and codes
Side Tasks
Participating in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings
Fulfilling further job-related duties as instructed by the Supervisor, such as luggage service, loading, and garbage off-loading
Assisting with monthly inventories as per Supervisor's instruction
Assisting other departments as per Supervisor's instruction
Salary:starting salary in the first contract is 2.000€/month net
Contract type:Swiss, with all the benefits of the Swiss labour laws
