Position: Manufacturing Assembler
Location: Buffalo Grove, Illinois 60089
Duration: 12 months ("Possible Extension")
Shift: 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm

Summary:
Summary: Assembles prepared machined parts like rails, panels, and bars into doors, according to prescribed patterns, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
- Assembler will receive a set up cart with required components, drawings and BOM's. Assembler will build the sub-assembly by installing screws, applying sealant, installing spacers and torquing all hardware to specifications. Constant use of the hands and excellent dexterity required.
- Assembler will build the final assembly by adding all brackets, pivots, screws, bolts, nuts, washers, covers, handles etc.
- Assembler will verify final product is built to print prior to placing into shipping container. Assembler will package the finished product by using supplied shipping material. Assembler is also responsible to band the product for shipment and close the container upon approval. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Ability to follow instructions, and management directive.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma 1 to 2 years' related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Have basic shop math skills, and ability to read and interrupt blueprints Language Ability: Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software
Physical Demands: The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather). The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
