Job Description
About the Role:
Our client a leading manufacturing company is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Manager/Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Columbus OH. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise leadership skills and a proven track record in overseeing manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily manufacturing operations ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead and motivate a team of manufacturing personnel providing guidance training and support to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency reduce costs and enhance overall plant performance.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. engineering quality maintenance) to ensure seamless coordination and problemsolving.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Qualifications:
- A bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional industrial background in maintenance and machine operations.
- Minimum of 4 years of recent manufacturing industry leadership experience with operations and supervisory responsibilities.
- Proven track record of successfully managing manufacturing teams and achieving production goals.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications/Certification:
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
- Certified Maintenance Manager (CMM) certification
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle)
- Knowledge of automation and robotics technologies
