About the Opportunity and Project:
This opportunity is to contribute in Recity s endeavor to divert 3.5 lakh MT of plastic waste by 2030. Recity will be setting up Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) across multiple geographies in India with a focus on ending plastic pollution specifically near environmentally vulnerable areas like oceans, rivers, forests & hills. Recity will construct, operate, maintain the MRFs and deliver sustainable business models.
Core Responsibilities: - Onboard various team to align with the project expectations and anchor communication between the client and respective teams. Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
- Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.
- Overviewing all Fund Utilization sheet and expenses and aligning with various team leads regarding the same
- Provide approvals for project related expenses, payment lots within the allocated budgets as per the nature of expense, documentary evidences shared
- Periodic reviews of budgets to ensure project expenses are controlled within the available budgets
- Suggest ways for cost reductions, exploring other areas for spending unspent / surplus budgets (if any)
- Set project payment cycles in consultation with finance team to ensure predictability, ease in processing payments
- Review invoices, disbursement request letters required for submission to client on milestone completion
- Develop justifications for queries shared by client on submissions made with respect to budgets and utilizations
- Monitor cash flows for the projects, suggest ways to meet the deficit, if any
- Provide inputs for development of Business plans for MRFs
- Understanding client expectations with respect to overall project branding, necessary collaterals and delivering the needs with consistent overview
- Plan and Support in manpower resource allocation for the project
- Plan and organize visits to project sites for client teams
- Preparing status reports by gathering, analysing, and summarizing relevant information
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Create Business proposals, along with budgets therein, based on the available opportunity
- Engage with existing clients to deep-mine additional business opportunities
- Share any potential leads (Business / grants / competitions) to explore further business synergies
- Visit Recycling / MRF units to explore and develop Business synergies
- Support in preparation of applications for various competitions from time to time
- Contribute to fund-raising related discussions internally
Must Have s:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant
- 5-7 years of experience in managing projects in the social and development sector
- Strong knowledge in Budgeting and Forecasting.
- Excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Attention to detail, organized and a team player
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
