Technical Scrum Master

For a big long-term project in the Royalties field, we are currently seeking a Scrum Master with very strong technical skills.

This is not a traditional Scrum Master role, though. We are looking for someone who, besides facilitating and supporting all Scrum ceremonies together with the off-shore Scrum Master, will also build a deep understanding of the functional requirements and technical solutions in order to support the tech leads, business analysts, and product managers in guiding the development/QA teams.

The ideal candidate has experience in project management, as well as in a more technical field (e. g. as software or QA engineer, data analyst or IT-systems analyst).

Job Functions:
Leads the Scrum Team using Agile best practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services.
Gets team to a high performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and implementing changes into development techniques and processes.
Responsible for ensuring the team adheres to the project standards and guidelines.
Works closely with the product managers, business analysts, and tech leads to transfer functional requirements into Jira tasks with concise requirements and acceptance criteria for the developers.
Identifies potential blockers or missing/unclear requirements early on and works with the tech leads and business analysts to resolve the issues.

Job Requirements:
Essential:
5+ years of project management experience in big IT projects
Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e., Scrum, Kanban) as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
Expert knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, Teams, SharePoint, Excel
Strong understanding of software development life cycle models
Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques
Expert writing skills of requirements and technical documentation
Experience in delivery of a user-facing application
Solid understanding of SQL/data modelling, web (UI/UX) and API development
Experience with AWS, Redshift, authentication and authorization technologies a plus

Desirable:
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
