Responsibilities:
- Excellent employment opportunity for a Corporate Affairs Manager in the Waltham, MA area.
- The Programme Team is seeking a Communications Director who can work closely with Site and Programme Leadership and Global Corporate Affairs, to develop and execute activities that will engage, inspire and inform internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- The role holder will work to ensure business requirements and key decision points are effectively translated into measurable communications solutions.
- Lead the planning, development and delivery of best practice change communications to support the programme
- Ensure close alignment with wider Global Corporate Affairs team, aligned to site communications and R&D communications, and work in partnership with the Company Integration Communications Director on key milestones
- Develop deep understanding of stakeholder needs; counsel programme and site Leadership Team on strategies to meet these needs through effective change interventions including communications, training, engagement activities, involvement in project activities
- Proactively identify, develop and deliver accurate, clear and compelling communications materials, campaigns and activities in a timely way
- Consider and manage external communications needs, including establishing close relationships with government affairs, investor relations, external communications where needed
- Drive activities focused on culture change and new ways of working
- Ensure all communication shares a unified look and feel that reflects the company brand
- Measurement of effectiveness of communication approaches and identification and delivery of value-adding solutions to drive improvements
- Provide accurate and timely forecast and plans for activities needed, and resource required to support
- Oversee engagement of agency support (e.g., design) and contract support for flexing communications and change management delivery resource
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent writing, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Planning and Multi-channel Communications experience is essential.
- The often sensitive and material content involved, means that the role holder will be required to demonstrate exemplary personal judgment, initiative and collaborative skills while working as part of a close-knit, high-performing and flexible team.
- Significant experience of working in a fast-paced global communications team or similar corporate communications environment.
- Track record of developing and delivering innovative and highly engaging communications to achieve tangible outcomes.
- Extensive experience of change communications, leader communications and employee engagement campaigns.
- Significant experience of managing different stakeholder relationships and confident at forging trusted relationships at a senior level.
- Experience of managing complex communications programmes with international dimensions.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, backed by strong channel management, digital/social media skills and comfort using and advising others in remote communication technologies.
- Sound judgment combined with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
