We have an opportunity for a PART-TIME WORKING STUDENT to work as a JUNIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER.
Working Days: Monday to Friday (negotiable; if university attendance is required on some days )
Working Hours: min 20 Hours per week
Location: Darmstadt (You will need to travel into the office every day)
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Junior Mechanical Engineer will be part of an international engineering team to play a supporting role in product development, design, and testing environment. The candidate will be part of the production team and will assist with 3D modelling.
Responsibilities of this position are:
Directly supporting the production department with document preparation and hands-on prototyping activities
Assisting with product concepts in 3D modelling
Using customized tools and fixtures for fabrication, assembly and testing of product concepts being prototyped and implemented.
Assisting other team members in workshop activities
Collaborate in making improvement recommendations and assist in product development of various mechanical projects
Supporting project coordination with cross-functional departments and external suppliers
Continual investigation of new developments and check the ideal manufacturing methods
Education and Experience:
At least 3 semesters of a technical degree (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process and process engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, plastics technology, industrial engineering)
Professional or academic qualifications and proficiency in 3D modelling are preferred
Hands-on experience with the workshop environment and tools
Knowledge of different materials and production techniques
Very good analytical skills and quick comprehension
Ability to communicate, assertiveness and teamwork
Very Good knowledge of English
German language skills desirable

1. Introductory call with Recruitment Manager
2. Online HR Technical Interview with Recruitment Manager and Senior Manager
3. If accepted, then an `Onboarding Interview' with the Senior Manager and Chief Product Director
