Work Hours: Day shift, 12 hours + call (amount varies) No OT until 48 hours worked Please no candidates within 75 miles of the facility
Duties: The Registered Nurse I functions under the supervision of the Department Director. The Registered Nurse I assures provision of care to the surgical patient in a professional manner, utilizing the nursing process and the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement in collaboration with other health team members. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups. Develops, implements and evaluates an age-appropriate plan of care utilizing the Nursing Process, Clinical Skills and Patient Education. Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and employees. The Charge Nurse will assess risks to patient safety and implement the appropriate precautions. The Charge Nurse will comply with appropriate and approved standards. Utilizes the appropriate leadership skills in delegating and providing feedback concerning staff performance. Trauma Hospital & Teaching Facility- Could be Residents and Nursing Students on floor.
