ROLE SUMMARY:
This Sourcing Director will work in an Agile team to deliver results & foster a continuous improvement mindset.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
Responsible for the strategic sourcing for co-packing, spirits and bulk alcohol, tankering management including category ownership and development of long-term and short-term strategic sourcing plans and contract implementation.
Serve as the central point of contact for any and all interfaces with internal stakeholders (Procurement, Supply, Global, Marketing, Value Creation, Beyond Beer, and Innovation teams) to align on the category strategy, total cost of ownership, and support new products to lead future growth.
Lead Supplier negotiations and develop contracting strategy specific to the alcohol market and industry, share insight on industry trends and market intelligence among cross functional teams.
Define & execute category strategy for co-packing and grain neutral spirits
Identify category risks and develop comprehensive risk mitigation/business continuity plans
Execute strategic sourcing initiatives with multifunctional teams (SMEs, Global and Regional Procurement)
Perform detailed data analysis to identify new cost savings opportunities within the category
Lead cross functional design to profitability work stream for Beyond Beer
Manage the performance of key suppliers and work collectively with those suppliers to develop collaborative initiatives
Identify new suppliers capable of meeting business requirements as a means of increasing competition in the category
Negotiate with suppliers and select the best option using the total cost of ownership mindset
Review, sign, submit for approval and ensure implementation of negotiated contracts/POs
Conduct industry Benchmarking to support strategy decisions
Present category strategy and high-profile projects to senior leadership on routine basics
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree
Minimum 5 years experience in the beverage Industry
Strong analytical skills
Hands-on procurement / category management experience
Languages: English (and Local when applied) as the working language; additional language skills are an advantage
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Project-management skills
Basic knowledge of finance and accounting allowing the ability to conduct analysis of a suppliers P&L and balance sheet
Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders by conveying information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner
Ability to develop collaborative relationships across multiple functions for the purpose of accomplishing work objectives
Proven track record of breakthrough negotiations, against adverse conditions, e.g. regulated markets, monopolies/oligopolies
Advanced PC and presentation skills
Strategic & conceptual thinking
Introduce & implement change, continuous improvement
Self-starter; a roll up the sleeves, entrepreneurial mindset
