ROLE SUMMARY:


The eCommerce Channel Development team is a fast-moving, shopper-centric team within the CiC organization. Our north star is optimizing the way the Alcohol category shows up online to drive total channel growth. Our team draws from a diverse set of data, including secondary sources like IRI, Numerator, and Profitero as well as leading primary research with online shoppers to ensure we stay on top of this rapidly developing channel. We work closely with the rest of the Category Development organization to integrate an omnichannel perspective into innovation, commercial strategy, IGNITE, and the Vault. We also collaborate and act as subject matter experts with our Category Field organization as well as our Channel Sales teams to bring category guidance and recommendations for the online channel all the way to our retail partners.
In this role, you will have opportunity to develop and lead omnichannel strategy, conduct qualitative & quantitative online shopper research, and work with our commercial field teams to execute solutions at retail. You will be responsible for developing the learning plan, partnering with our field teams to proactively identify opportunities and gaps, synthesize and analyses insights and data, and pushing the envelope to identify new macro trends within the channel. Your ability to collaborate cross functionally and advocate for the eCommerce channel will drive strategy, execution, and impact both internally and externally.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


Channel Development
Develop materials and lead strategic eCommerce projects including, but not limited to macro trends & forecasting, Fundamentals pillar strategy and development, and channel specific deep dives

eCommerce Scorecard System
Lead thought leadership, internal education, and annual refresh of eCommerce Scorecard System to ensure tool remains industry

IGNITE Integration
Identify opportunities to execute IGNITE in the online channel and develop specific solutions for the online shopper

Education & Training
Partner with Category & Channel Sales field organizations to build & cascade eCommerce strategy and empower activation at retail

Direct-to-Consumer Marketing Support
Partner with our DTC team on online shopper insights & IGNITE integration to optimize creative campaign development

Vault
Collaborate on eCommerce module & support rollout and integration into the Vault

Expert Voice at Retail-
Be the voice of eCommerce at retail for priority strategic projects, thought leadership rollout, and captaincy pitches


JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


Strategy, Insights, Marketing and/or Sales experience
5-8 years (at a mid to large CPG or consumer research/strategy agency desired) with eCommerce or digital experience strongly preferred

Proactive Thinker
can operate independently and identify opportunities, ideas, and needs without clear day-to-day guidance

Collaborator in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
able to build relationships & influence both internally (CiC, Category, Sales, Marketing) and externally (Retailers) up to senior leadership levels

Strong Presentation Skills
has experience presenting to and influencing leadership

Curious, Analytical, Creative, Strategic
able to translate shopper behavior and attitudes into actionable insights to have a concrete impact at retail

Data Literacy
at least basic proficiency with IRI data and PowerBI, Numerator panel preferred

Agile and Fast Learner
able to synthesize data across different qual & quant sources (syndicated, panel, primary, etc.) into easily digestible influential takeaways to tell a story & inform and guide strategy. Need to be able to quickly pick up new data tools and systems.
