Is the Associate Food Scientist role right for you?

This role aims for college graduates who have the desire to excel in todays fast-paced product development environment. We will provide you with exposure to the various facets of Product Development within a diverse Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) organization. Your technical skill set will be enhanced by providing you exposure to experienced professionals and various food production settings.

This role will allow for consistent growth and individual development opportunities. You will develop new products from conceptualization to commercialization. Throughout that process, you can expect to conceptualize and develop new product prototypes, execute experiments and prepare results for review, and conduct plant trials and new product start-ups. You can also expect to:
Learn and utilize on-line specification system
Manage individual tasks
Assist team with product cutting, plant trials, and testing



Do you have what it takes?

You will complete your Bachelors degree in Food Science or a related program of study no later than June 2023 (January start dates available for December grads)
You have knowledge in food product design, formulation, ingredient functionality and interaction, process design, product scale-up, plant testing, and commercialization
You desire to be a leader and grow within the Research & Development function
You have the flexibility to relocate
You can travel up to 30%
You have proven leadership abilities (i.e. collaboration, influencing & problem solving skills)


Physical Requirements

Work in and around cramped/confined spaces
Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders
Exposure to manufacturing environments for periodic extended workdays to include: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, and slippery conditions.
Use of tools, equipment, and machinery
Driving a company or rental vehicle for up to 6 hours as needed
Exposure to food tasting and smells including all food allergens
