Night Market Horizons is a brave new eCommerce consultancy with eCommerce data intelligence at the heart in a world where brands are losing control of the customer journey and the resulting revenue, Night Market is dedicated and determined to compete with the eCommerce walled gardens and bring control and insights back to the brands themselves, champion the customer journey through data innovation. As a brand new entity, backed by Horizon Media, Night Market will operate as a consulting company layered on top of a ground-breaking technology platform the first of its kind.



The VP of eCommerce Media will be responsible for the eCommerce transformation agenda for our clients. Defining, recommending and operating commerce strategy, system integration and retail solutions related to DTC, retail (e.g. target), and walled gardens (e.g. AMZ). Including eCommerce platform consulting for brands (e.g. audit, strategy, tech roadmap etc.), platform strategy development, implementation, ongoing management.



Main Duties and Responsibilities


70% Client pitching & consulting


20% Building & overseeing team, best practices,


10% Data intelligence strategy, productization


Architect and implement a best-in-class eCommerce approach for our clients to surpass both revenue and profit goals by enabling clients to transact common and predictive commerce data intelligence across DTC, retailers and marketplaces.
Establish a technical vision for complex enterprise grade projects, apply technical design briefs, design system integration plans using established client commerce partners and adding new forward-thinking products to enable never seen before commerce ecosystem architecture.
Lead workshops to define innovative workflow and processes to deliver sophisticated client shopping optimization capabilities. Accelerate clients eCommerce performance, optimizing traffic driving activities with consultancy on DTC, retail and marketplace store management.
Build proprietary eCommerce products that tie retail activities like optimizing liquidation to media activities like delivering ROI. Work with data science and media investment to build machine learning and predictive products that make the purchase journey actionable.
Establish yourself as a key leader. Pitch, win, retain and grow our clients businesses. This is a high-profile role that requires out-front leadership, setting best practices, growing a department and helping manage this startups accelerated growth.


Knowledge and Skills Required

10+ years commerce experience, ideally within a top tier Consulting firm
Masters Degree, Business Administration (MBA) is preferred
Industry leader in commerce-oriented business functions such as demand forecasting, pricing, promotions, cart management, order management, fulfillment, payments, returns/refunds, liquidation, reviews, content.
Implemented e-commerce solutions using industry leading platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Oracle CX Commerce, IBM Commerce, or Adobe Commerce Cloud in a consulting or solution design capacity
Deep understanding of key eCommerce marketplaces like Amazon and Mirakl (and their ecosystems) as well as blended on and offline experiences provided by Walmart and Target. Understands omni-channel retail. AMZ skillset including Alexa, Product Page Detail - listing setup, retail page optimization, A+ content, stores.
Strong analytical skills managing large amounts of data and ability to turn insights into actions. Exposure to machine learning practices. Curious and wanting to seek the truth in data.
Experience in presenting and winning over senior clients. Excellent communication and social skills. Proven track record of building compelling presentations that excite and move clients forward.
