RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Software Test Automation Engineer (Python)

Responsibilities:

Work with cross-functional teams to develop and validate SW test methods and tools
Manage the definition of test methods and the creation of test plans for new or updated software
Write test automation scripts, code, and participate in code reviews
Help drive decisions about test automation strategies
Compose, execute and assess results of functional and non-functional tests according to the defined test strategy
Configure and manage test environments
Perform regression tests to ensure software functionality for internal research and product software pipelines
Identify and manage issues and provide recommendations to stakeholders
Promote agile software development best practices and test-driven development culture
Provide detailed bug reports to engineering team using JIRA
Provide feedback during technical appraisals of programming languages, systems and software.

Skills:

Strong test automation skills using Python
API test automation using any of the industry standard tools and frameworks
Proficiency in hardware, software and/or operating systems environments
Ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities
An affinity for problem solving, and the ability to understand complex relationships between product functionality and requirements
Strong communication and organizational skills
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, mathematics, or engineering
Experience

Experience with developing test automation framework
Experience with Python, Scripts and OOPS concepts
Experience working in Selenium WebDriver, BDD, Rest API, Soap API, Bitbucket. Github, Intellij or Eclipse
Experience and developing Rest / Soap API testing frameworks
Experience working in an Agile development organization and JIRA
Knowledge of operating systems, Maven, Jenkins, AWS, Dockers, Safe, HP ALM
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
Healthcare background and experience with healthcare applications is a plus
