Redstone Commodity Search are working with a financial trading firm seeking an experienced quantitative trader on the intraday and day ahead markets to join the power and gas team.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

Join a senior short-term power and gas desk to strengthen the market coverage and trading capabilities.
Trade on the intraday and day ahead power market within the relevant locations CWE, CEE, CZ, Nordics and UK/Ireland.
Develop a profitable power trading portfolio and grow into new markets where trading opportunities are present.
Conduct detailed market research analysis to generate consistently positive P&L figures.

Key Qualifications / Experience

Have 5+ years experience trading in a proprietary firm, with experience as a quantitative trader.
Skills using VBA, SQL, Python etc. would be beneficial but not essential.
Proven track record of delivering profitable results in the energy / power trading market CWE, CEE, CZ, UK, Ireland, DK and Nordics.
Creative thinker with the ability to work independently and cohesively with other departments.
