Within the Group Treasury Department at the Headquarters in Zug, we are looking for a qualified and committed
Trade Finance Officer
Your responsibilities (At Group level)
- Processing and monitoring all life cycle events of import and export letters of credit, guarantees, standby letters of credit (The trade finance instruments )
- Booking of the trade finance instruments in the treasury management system
- Control and booking of all fees related to the trade finance transactions
- Creation and reconciliation of daily, monthly and year end reports for external and internal stakeholders
- Preparing monthly recharge overview for the fees to be recharged to the company entities
- Monitoring and annual review of the company guarantees in close collaboration with the Credit and Legal team
- Annual review and revision of the Group Trade Finance Policy and Manual of the trade finance transactions in the treasury management system (Annual)
- Build strong relationship with our pool of banks, external and internal stakeholders
- Proactively analyse and improve trade finance processes and identify opportunities to reduce exposure by reporting of the payment instruments and identifying gaps and process improvements
- Develop and enhance our current digital solutions around trade finance to increase speed and efficiency and automate existing processes
- Support the group companies in optimising its working capital financing via the creative use of trade finance instruments
- Assist team in cash management and cash flow forecast related activities and projects
- Ad hoc investigations, reconciliations and reporting for corporate finance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Masters degree
- Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Trade Finance Officer
- Good knowledge of payment instrument rules and regulations (e.g. UCP 600, ISP 98 and URDG 758)
- Commodity sector experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)
- Result-oriented and hands-on-mentality
- Ability to work independently, in an organized matter and gets things done
- Outstanding team player
- Excellent communications skills
