MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions

Incumbent must be able to analyze received information and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills by using a variety of appropriate resources provided
Incumbent must be able to work in a sense of urgency and understand the relative importance of one task over another
Core Job Responsibility
HR program administration tied to Operations:
Assist with new hire orientation activities
Collaborate with recruiters to ensure accurate and timely new hire processing
Help new hires with completing the Form I-9 and other onboarding items
Coordinate visa and work permit tracking
Support contract tracking for global assignees
Support candidate reimbursements for lodging and traveling
Handle requests tied to HR files
Answer employment verification inquiries
Responsible to dispatch and handle inbound HR mail
Mail out cards for significant anniversary awards to employees
Send Employee Agreement reminders to terminated employees
Identify and capture feedback and leverage opportunities for better customer experience
Identify "Roadblocks" in current HR program administration processes or Abbott-wide practices or policies, and recommend improvements
Document own area of expertise and cross train others
Meet or exceed standards for both schedule adherence and reliability
Other duties as assigned
Education
Associate's degree preferred but not required.
Experience/Background
Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel, Workday (or other system of record experience highly preferred), Salesforce (or other CRM experience) highly preferred.
Excellent telephone, written and verbal communications skills.
Language proficiency in Spanish or French preferred but not required
