Job Description

Description :

The job holder is responsible to handle the Organization s international/domestic travel and Corporates/Embassies/PSUs/Institutions aviation business by continuously improvising operational efficiencies through cost effective methods. He/She should focus on increasing the business contribution of Corporate by continuous business development initiatives and efficient customer service.

Requirements :

Area of Responsibilities

1. Strategy formulation and Implementation

a. He/ She in coordination with the operations head is responsible to develop the annual operating plan for aviation with a focus on cost and profitability dimensions.

b. He/she has to develop strategy to increase the contribution of Corporates /Embassies/PSUs/Institutions business in total revenue of the department.

c. Ensure on ground implementation of strategy within the approved budgets.

d. Look for new options, schemes and avenues floating in the market and in coordination with the operations head analyze and get into strategic tie ups which can enhance business profitability.

e. Identify branding and promotion opportunities to promote Creative s service offerings.

f. Proactively looks for business opportunities and work towards maximizing customer satisfaction.

2. Responsible for Profitability, Resource Optimization and Cost Control

a. Responsible to achieve the targeted revenue figures for the department and work towards increasing the share of Corporates/Embassies/PSUs/Institutions business.

b. Responsible to maintain a balance between cost and revenues ratio.

c. Responsible for effective negotiation with the vendors/suppliers to increase the business/client base and amp; maximize the margin base.

3. Vendor Development and Relationship Management

a. Maintain regular relationships and management process through meetings/visits and amp; regular discussions with the various airlines/ vendors and amp; Corporates/Embassies/PSUs/Institutions.

b. Identify various airline vendors/consolidators from different geographies operating in India and thus utilize their services for smooth operations across all geographies.

c. Responsible to find avenues for contracting rates with vendors for the purpose of maximizing profitability for the organization.

4. Operational Efficiency

a. Responsible for providing correct information regarding flights, visas, fares, payment terms and conditions, group policies, cancellation terms within specified/desired time limit to both internal and external customers.

b. Receive confirmed guest list (FIT and Group) from the operations team and then process the travel bookings by re negotiating rates to maximize profitability margins.

c. Ensure bookings are done on time to take advantage of the discounted rates which can fluctuate/increase with shortening time gap and provide the confirmed tickets to the operations team for further processing.

d. Keep a continuous track of any changes in the flight schedules and accordingly intimate the operations team for further processing.

e. Ensure increased customer satisfaction by timely responses and query resolution and hence ensure long term relationship.

f. Responsible to make travel arrangements for Creative s internal employee travels by ensuring compliance to all laid guidelines and processes for internal bookings.

g. Responsible in providing visa support to all internal and external customers by carrying out all the formalities and liasioning with various embassies.

h. Responsible for re-negotiating the annual contracts with external partners.

i. Ensure timely report generation and MIS requirements laid down by the organization.

5. Manage the collection and payments:

a. Responsible to ensure timely raising of invoices and submission of the same within specified guidelines.

b. Ensure payment cycle for clearing vendor payments is adhered to by ensuring timely approval and submission of invoices to the finance department.

c. Regular monitoring on the collection process and ensure collections are within the specified timelines as per the finance guidelines and contractual agreement with the external partner.

6. Internal and External Coordination

a. Responsible to manage relationship with all external and internal partners and vendors to ensure smooth and long term relationship.

b. Bridge the gap between the client requirements and execution.

c. Effectively manage inter departmental coordination with Operations and other employees.

7. Team Management

a. Continuously engage in building team cohesiveness to accomplish organizational goals collectively.

b. Responsible for the performance and personal / professional development of the team.

c. Ensuring regular meetings and interactions with the team and solve their issues and queries e.g. role clarity, team dynamics, grievances.

d. Identify and meet the departmental development needs.

e. Ensuring low departmental attrition across all levels

f. Responsible for conflict management within the team and internal customers.

g. Responsible to plan work distribution and accordingly assign duties to the team members.

h. To monitor achievement of KRAs by all direct reportees.

Qualification, Experience, Skills and Competencies

  1. Bachelor s Degree in any stream from an accredited college or university.
  2. Thorough knowledge of domestic and international ticketing with a prior experience of at least 15 years.
  3. Pleasant personality, well - groomed and presentable.
  4. Should be proficient on the latest developments of the GDS/CRS.
  5. Excellent contacts with airlines.
  6. Good negotiator with the abil
