Job Description

Our client in Indianapolis is seeking a Market Research Analyst. This is a direct hire opportunity with great benefits and room for growth! This position is onsite and can be hybrid (MWF onsite, TTH remote).


Responsibilities:


  • Collects and analyzes data to evaluate existing and potential product and service markets

  • Identify and monitor competitors and research market conditions or changes that may impact the organization

  • Analyzing performance benchmarks and conducting economic analysis

  • Independently conduct complex market research to determine market share and other relevant business environment indicators

  • Accurately present findings in an appropriate and timely manner

  • Design and execute surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus groups to collect data from various sources

  • Make and assess FOIA requests to various government agencies, ensuring accuracy and specifics to gain needed data

  • Conduct financial analysis and reporting including market analysis, forecasting, and business performance metrics

  • Identify and qualify new products, services, and program marketing opportunities


Required Skills:


  • Proficiency with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint) specifically Excel

  • Familiarity with requesting and analyzing FOIA data

  • Proficiency analyzing data utilizing the latest statistical techniques and software

  • Proficiency with accessing syndicated databases for the purpose of performing market research analysis

  • Proficiency in using CRM software, Salesforce experience preferred

  • Proficiency with survey tools, such as SurveyMonkey

  • Ability to present complex marketing information effectively to customers, vendors, peers, and all levels of management

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently


  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment while sometimes working under pressure


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to solve problems and think analytically and critically

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree required; preferably in marketing, market research, business, or a related field of study

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in qualitative and quantitative market research activities gained at a corporate, agency, or government environment
