Job Description

As our team builds and supports new applications at a rapid pace, we are looking for exceptional Technical Writer to develop and maintain Data Privacy documentation including, but not limited to, security policies and procedures, internal IT Audit process guidelines, technical project documentation, and standard templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with security, data privacy, engineering, product, and support teams to ensure the quality, discoverability, and accuracy of the content you create and develop.
  • Review, design, write, and edit technical and process documentation.
  • Work with security associates/PMs/business owners to generate documents or revise/update previously published documents, as per tasks.
  • Create and maintain standardisation of document quality
  • Review, format, and proofread technical procedure documents; provide completed documents.
  • Translate complex concepts and solutions into multiple types of documents.
  • Create and/or organize material and completing writing assignments according to specified standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience with hands on experience creating documentation.
  • Understanding of data privacy, information technology and security concepts and best practices
  • Interpret, analyse and document data privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements (Eg FTC/GDPR).
  • Must have experience with Wikis, Basic web design, HTML, CSS, Markdown/ Media-wiki markup/ Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or other image software.
  • Demonstrate analytical experience, close attention to detail, excellent critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation.
  • Develop, implement, support, and maintain technology-related documentation systems.
  • Experience with creating and editing documents and diagrams using Microsoft applications, such as Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to deliver high quality documentation.
  • Familiar with and information technology and their lifecycle methodologies.
  • Strong verbal communications skills and concise written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non-technical/general terminology.
  • Experience working with security and data privacy a plus.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OrangePeople-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OrangePeople Account Management as requested.
