Job Description

The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the advanced repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, in addition to the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utility systems of the entire manufacturing operation including shipping, receiving, and warehousing functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Participate in advanced-level continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned
2. Read and understand manuals, technical drawings, schematics, and basic computer skills
3. Advanced level use of lathes, mills, grinders, gear hobs, and other machine shop equipment
4. Troubleshoot advanced and complex electrical, drive technology, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other issues as they arise
5. Execute proper documentation of parts inventory
6. Use forklifts, scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, and pallet jacks to move equipment and supplies
7. Follow proper lock out tag out procedures
8. Perform advanced facility maintenance, as needed
9. Execute timely completion of maintenance request forms and document accordingly
10. Learn how to setup and run a Beasley bag machine and press as a secondary responsibility
11. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees, working as a team player
12. Strive to perform in a highly effective manner to ensure customers receive excellent service and quality products
13. Strive to support the Brand Essence by performing in a highly responsive, collaborative, mindful, and personal manner
14. Always adhere to all Company policies and procedures
15. Responsible for Food Safety through compliance to the following Policies and Procedures:
o Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
o Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
o Knife Policy; Glass and Brittle Plastic Policy
o Sanitation Procedures; Pest Control Procedure; Non-Conforming Product Procedure
16. Perform other additional duties as needed assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.

No managerial / supervisory authority.

Climate controlled production environment with exposure to chemicals, moving machinery and powered industrial vehicles, repetitive motion, excessive noise. Requires wearing protective or safety attire and gear on consistent basis.
Rare presence of abnormal temperature or exposure to outside conditions.

Manual labor requiring significant physical exertion, consistently need to lift, push, pull, carry, etc. over 50 lbs.; and/or use of heavy-duty tools. Requires unusual environmental stress, such as working at great heights. May also require climbing and working from ladders or in awkward positions. Employees will be required to use protective clothing and/or gear.

QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED

At least 5 years in maintenance.

Strong mechanical aptitude.
Problem solving
Highly desired: experience working in or knowledge of paper/flexography industry

Familiarity with computers
Basic understanding/use of Microsoft Word and Excel
Proficiency with Outlook
